History
İçmeler lies within the Marmaris National Park and is surrounded by rich Mediterranean vegetation. The area is covered with pine forests, palm trees, citrus groves and unique sweetgum (liquidambar) forests, known locally as “günlük trees”. The combination of mountains, forests and sea creates a fresh and oxygen-rich environment, making İçmeler ideal for both relaxation and outdoor activities. İçmeler has a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters. The region enjoys around 200–250 sunny days per year, making it one of the best long-season destinations in Turkey.
